I see no love in her eyes

You are a warrior in the era of the three kingdoms. A warrior of great power that has forged that way from your will to fight any foe and from your earned glory on the battlefield from your slain foes.

It should be no surprise then that you seek work, a lord to serve and prove your might too. It is a warriors path and yet you would never believe such a path would lead you to walk along the demon man known as Lu Bu. A warrior who mere presence made weak weak flee and even strong men shiver at his monstrous build and fighting skill that could leave even the wisest warrior in nothing but little pieces.

You first meet the man when you come to the Xu province looking to serve under a well liked warlord known as Liu Bei. However to your surprise the people of the province tell you that a mighty warrior has occupied the land from Liu Bei leading to disarray among the farmers and merchant of the land who find their new ruler rather unintelligent in the ways of economy.

It this very reason that set you off to hunt down his warlord as being the battle hungry warrior you are you could see the glory in slaying such a man plus presenting the head of such a villain to any ruler surely would lead them to hire you into their high ranking officers.

Sadly your heroic ideas are soon beat out of you as you come across this terrible ruler along a road of the province. The beast of a man shows no remorse as he brutishly fights leaving you barley standing from your wounds from his fist and halberd.

Your weapon crushed under the might of his mighty right foot and a confident smirk across his battle wore face as he look down upon you. It is only your strong will as a warrior that allows you to stand up to your mighty foe once more with a stern look on your face and a fire burning in your heart.

“Beat me all you will. I shall never fall. I have chosen the warriors path and I shall die following it through the blood and chaos of this land!” You cry out with confidence making your foe smile at such a display.

He could see the raw power in you as you stood before him bloody and beaten. As such he make  you a deal to keep your life if in return you served him as one of his elite officer against the other warlord of this land. Seeing the chaos such a man sowed among the people you should say no but the warrior pride inside you makes you answer a quick fine making your foe order his followers to aid you.

For the next few months you spend your time inside the wall of Xiapi castle, your battle wounds being treated by servant girls and old male doctors. All the while having constant visits from a number of officers under Lu Bu, some with questions about your past while others come to check up on you on behalf of their lord.

Among these officer one stood out to you, a warrior like yourself by the name of Zhang Liao. A tall and proud man who seem to understand your pain and offered you advise and food that his mother had made.
Such a wise and gentle soul of a man you would remember as thanking the warrior for his kindness, you swore to reply his kindness in any manner you could. Sadly Zhnag Liao never comes to collect you on your word instead time goes by like the wind leading you to be up on your feet and working for your new ruler.

Assigned to guard a number of borders around the province, you spent most light hours on horse back going from one border unit to another aiding them with bandits and other duties along the borders of your lord land. Alas it among the twilight hours however that you find yourself with the other officers of Lu Bu in his castle where the mighty warlord invite you all to dine with him and his wives.

A feat of food and alcohol is what is presented before you yet what you enjoy most that meal is catching the eye of one of your lords wives Diao chan. Her fair skin, large chocolate brown eyes and an hour glass figure made your battle hardened heart beat faster as you steal glances at the beauty who sadly does not seem to care much for you as her eyes never move from her food.

Such a perfect women that blesses these men with her presence and yet it is said among the men that her beauty is also brought blood shed among Lu Bu and his last lord Dong Zhuo. Yet such words you would not believe as in your eyes the angel of a women had no evil in her, no cunning to slay a man with deception instead just a humble maiden who had stolen your heart with her beauty.

Sadly being one of the wives of your lord, simply glances at the table are all you get of the maiden as you and the other officers are ushered out by the servants later that night. A garrison is where you rest your head among the men of your lord army and yet no matter where you sleep the face of Diao Chan would not leave your mind.

Your dream became filled with thought of her, dancing with maiden under a moon light sky, marrying her surrounded by love one and of course many a nights of passion with the women who invaded your dreams. Such a passion for a person should be noted as love sickness by wise men and women and yet for you the thoughts of this maiden never left you.

Much like an everyday thought, you find yourself lost in thought and day dream about spending time with Diao chan as you ride around the borders. First feeding you, then dancing for you before finally you and her share a kiss between you.

“Uh such thoughts. They are effect me in both mind and body” You say to yourself as you snap back to reality barley avoiding a crash with a merchant and his cart riding ahead of you. Indeed the women in your through had made you more easily distracted finding yourself in more then one close experience be it by horse by the edge of a bandits blade.

Had you been stuck with the sorcery of Diao Chan? The spell that turned Lu Bu against his last ruler making him murder in in cold blood? No you could not have and you keep telling yourself this each and every night and yet every time you see Diao Chan be it as her body guard into town or at your lord side during a war council you could feel the hatred toward your own lord.

Why should he have her? He has so many wives he would not miss one? Why should I be alone when such an imbecile who can't keep order among his own men be reward with such beauty while I work hours only seeing the face of poor worked girl and battle hardened men?

These twisted questions, the jealously in your eyes and the bubbling rage within you all signs that you have fallen under the same sorcery that lead to Lu Bu betrayal to his lord. You try to shake them off but this leads you down a path of infighting with other officers, a dozen broken carts that you ride into and finally being made to stay in the garrison far away from the women you had grown to love by the very man who you wanted dead. It all made you an open and very easily target for the cunning words of Cao Cao and his stagiest who lay beyond the border you protected.

For soon a great army lead by Cao Cai and Liu Bei would come to your border. More men then any you could ever wish to repel and yet you held firm against the army with your dozen or so men as you force back any who dare try to cross you. Seeing this The cunning Cao Cao first tries to fright you with the words of how many men would be marching upon you yet such a trick you did not fall for answering the warlord back that no matter the numbers, a true warrior would cut down all who stand before him.

“He is either a man with the will of a tiger or an idiot lacking the knowledge of how numbers work.” Cao Cao comments to his fellow warlord Liu Bei who then appeals to you. Unlike his fellow warlord the kind man first tries to sway you by explaining how Lu Bu took his land from him and yet you make the kind warlord see that you know this and that your originally planned to bring Lu Bu head to him or another warlord seeking employment.

“So why then do you stand in my way? Answer me.” Liu Bei question you from among his men in a calm tone. To this the thought of Diao Chan begin to cloud your mind and with such thought the cunning man inside you thinks up a plan to make the flower you own.

First a fake show of tears before you wail out that Lu Bu has taken the women you love leaving you no choice but to do as he orders for her safety. Hearing this Cao Cao huffs clearly seeing through your little game but the good hearted Liu Bei is blind to your trick as with a loud voice he calls out for you to let them pass and should you do, he will promise to give you and the women you love a place to spend your lives together among his land.

“My lord to offer such a thing to a man who would betray his ruler. Do you wish to have such a man in your lands?”

The word of the tall and mighty Guan Yu make the kind warlord think and you panic. Would you really fall short when you could see such a future before you? Together with Diao Chan where you could spend the rest of your day together. Perhaps the gods favoured you that day or perhaps Liu Bei had seen the passion in your eyes as you stared down at him.

Either way Liu Bei would keep his promise to you making Cao Cao huff in annoyance at such an act while you turn to your men who seem torn between stabbing you or fleeing. In the end most surrender to the combined forces of Liu Bei and Cao Cao but you would not be allowed too.

For Cao Cao orders that you shall join the army in the battle against Lu Bu and should you refuse his order then he will personally cut your snake head from your shoulders. A cruel joke by the warlord or a punishment he saw fit for a trickter? No matter as you would join the battle and you would live through it so you and Diao Chan could finally be together.

It this idea that allows your mind to become clear once again as you march with the officers of the combined army. All of them said nothing to you as the march went on until finally a fight began at Xipia castle and the surrounding area.

Blood and screams fill the air as the two forces clash and over days the would carry on like it had become a natural sound. You had never seen such slaughter by your own hands as you cut your way through groups of soldiers without hesitation like a tiger on the hunt. Their blood covering your armour like red dye and the fear in their eyes as you ended them what a sight you became in just a few days with people starting to compare your might to your ex lord. Perhaps that is why then Cao Cao sees it fit to send you after your own lord calling you an angry and rash tiger cub who needs the blood of his brothers to calm.

You are called into action after the flooding of the xipia castle, sent up the white tower to confront Lu Bu who stands among the remaining of his men with an angry looking his eyes and depressed grey face.

“You Scum. I heard about what you did Name.” Lu Bu bellowed in anger before you.

“Betray me will you? Then before I surrender I will take your head as revenge!”

With that promise the pair of you start to duel once more against each other. Weapons clashing and the fearful roars that escape between you both make Lu Bu men stand back witness one of their own take on their ruler.

The mighty flying general takes no hesitation in trying to cleave your head off with his halberd, swinging the mighty black weapon with so much speed and strength behind it that you have to choice but to roll away knowing you could not block such swings with your own strength.

But you do not only dodge in this battle for after one of his mighty swing, you take this chance to attack the flying general yourself. A stab or a swipe with all you strength behind it, you mange to strike most of the yet some of these strikes merely bounce off Lu Bu black armour making you curse the black smith who made such a fine piece of work.

Alas even with your new found strength and will to fight so you can live with the women you have come to love. You are unable to force your ex lord into a tight spot or get an advantage over him until Cao Cao and Liu Bei's remaining combined army come to your aid. Seeing the numbers before him and his chance of escaping impossible, Lu Bu and his men surrender making you stand down as officers of the combined army come to take them prisoners.

As for you, Guan Yu personally escorts you to the camp of Liu Bei men where you spend a few hours in a tent at the request of Liu Bei before finally a solider comes to you with news that lord Cao Cao has executed Lu Bu before the army and that lord Liu Bei wish for you to come to the home where Lu Bu's wives have been taken too.

With haste and excitement you do as the solider says, following him across the camp to a small home where inside the former wives of Lu Bu sit on the ground guarded by Guan Yu and Zhang Fi, the sworn brothers on Liu Bi. They make no attempt to stop you as spotting Diao Chan sitting between other other women with a stone cold face you dash over to her before falling on your knees  at her feet.

“My lady Chan. I am so glad to see you are safe.” You say making Diao Chan look at the two officer that guard her with an unimpressed look. To Zhang Fi her look to be one of a women who had expect more of the man who claimed to love her a look he got from many of his own wives after his night of drink. Yet to the wiser Guan Yu, he could see this look shows this women felt no love for the man that claimed to love her back and  in fact she wore the same look when the news of Lu bu's death came to her.

Perhaps that is why then when Diao Chan starts to cry and say that she feels so much safer with you. That he huffs in annoyance at her sudden change knowing this all to be an act and how easily you are fooled by it as you tell Diao Chan that lord Liu Bei promised to present you both with a home to live together in.

“Oh that sound wonderful. I hope unlike lord Lu Bu you will show me how kind and loving a man can be.” Diao chan says happily wrapping her slender arms around you while resting her head on your right shoulder.

For you this all could not have turned out better and yet after you and Diao Chan are allowed to depart to your new home Guan Yu has some words to share with his lord about what they saw between you and the women you loved that night as they celebrated their victory over Lu Bu.

“My lord that couple you sent to the farm house. From what I have heard and seen she has never loved in her life. She is more a puppet master then loving wife pulling the string of whoever she wishes until they are either killed or taken from her. As such I can only prey the man who has taken her knows this because otherwise he too will follow the same path as his former lord. Becoming a monster that the men of this land will put down in the name of glory and to win the heart of the women who made him that way.
